A very ripe yet still appealingly fresh nose reflects notes of plum and cassis liqueur with a plethora of spice elements, all of which is trimmed in subtle wood. The richer and more voluminous big-bodied flavors flash excellent power and drive on the palate coating and impressively long finish. This is a big Ech, indeed it’s borderline robust and the dense but fine tannins make it clear that this was built-to-age. BH 92-94
